October 2024 in Paris and the Cote d’Azur
Post-Summer-Olympics Paris was at its best – and we are so excited that we got to experience it! Our small group of travelers spent 4 nights in Paris and did all the Paris things: museums, food tours, Versailles, Normandy, a fancy dinner on the Seine – and more. The streets were tidy, the subways were clean and upgraded, and the city seemed like it had experienced a facelift. I haven’t seen the City of Lights look this good for a VERY long time! After Paris, we took the high speed TGV train (First Class, bien sûr!) down to Antibes for 4 nights in Antibes on the French Riviera. Eze, Monte Carlo (with a quick hour of gambling at the casino!), Nice, Cannes, Saint Paul de Vence and Mougins were a few of the spots we visited while there.
Many croissants were consumed, plenty of wine was drunk and a whole lot of miles were walked on the trip. France in October was perfect timing – with cooler weather and very few crowds any where. Our group was so much fun! We hope to travel with them all again soon.
